Impaired Driver

On June 23, 2022 shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of a driver passed out while in the drive-thru of a restaurant in the 1900 block of Richmond Ave. 

Once the 47-year-old male driver from Saskatchewan was arrested, he provided samples of his breath, which were more than twice the legal limit. 

The male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released on sober to appear in court on June 30, 2022 on charges of Driving While Ability Impaired and Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in the Blood.

 

Impaired Driver

On June 23, 2022 at approximately 1:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop at Pacific Ave and Westcott Bay.  The 27-year-old male driver showed signs of impairment and provided samples of his breath, which were over the legal limit.  He was processed by way of Immediate Roadside Prohibition. 

 

Theft Under $5000

On June 14, 2022, police responded to a report of theft of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of 18th street N.  Images from the business security system assisted police in identifying the suspect. 

Police located and arrested the 35-year-old male on June 23, 2022.  He was later released to appear in court on August 14, 2022 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Breach of Peace

On June 22, 2022 at approximately 7:00 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the 1900 block of Queens Ave.  A 30-year-old male was running around with a hunting knife before he was locked outside the business.  The male fled, and was not immediately located. 

The same male returned to the business at approximately 3:00 pm.  Police attended and arrested the male who was under the influence of illicit drugs. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On June 22, 2022 just before midnight, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in the area of the 700 block of 19th street.  Police located the 23-eyar-old female who was in no condition to care for herself, and she had nowhere to go.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On June 23, 2022 shortly before 3:00 am, police responded to a report of a male who was passed out in front of a residence in the 400 block of 11th street.  Police located the 20-yaer-old male who was in no condition to care for himself, and had nowhere to go as he had a rural address.  The male was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On June 22, 2022, police located and arrested a 47-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding charge of Theft Under $5000.  He was later released to appear in court on August 18, 2022.
