Stolen Vehicle

On November 21, 2021, at 9:30 am, police responded to a report of the theft of a vehicle.  Investigation revealed that a family member of the vehicle’s owner was manipulated into allowing the 2011 red Chev Cruze to be taken by a casual acquaintance, who has not returned the vehicle to the actual owner.  The vehicle bears Manitoba licence KJS 548. 

 

Stolen Vehicle

On November 21, 2021 at approximately 11:30 pm, police responded to a report of the theft of a vehicle.  Investigation revealed that the owner went inside a business in the 3400 block of Victoria Ave, leaving an acquaintance of the owner in the vehicle while it was still running.  When the owner returned, the vehicle was gone. 

The vehicle is described as a 2014 black Kia Forte with Manitoba licence KRR 499. 

 

Stolen Vehicles Recovered

On November 21, 2021, shortly before 1:00 pm, police located the stolen 1999 red Pontiac Sunfire in the 500 block of 13th street.  The vehicle had been taken from the 000 block of 9th street the day prior. 

A second stolen vehicle was also recovered in the area at the same time.  The 2012 Ford F250 had been reported stolen out of Douglas on November 18, 2021.

Both vehicles were unoccupied at the time they were located.

Arrest Warrant

On November 21, 2021, police conducted a traffic stop in the 2700 block of Victoria Ave shortly after 2:00 pm.  The driver was found to be the subject of an outstanding arrested warrant.  The 26-year-old male was arrested and later released to appear in court on January 21, 2022 on charges of Assault and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

 

Assault

On November 21, 2021, police responded to a report of an assault in a residence shortly before 10:00 pm.  Investigation revealed that the 29-year-old male struck the victim several times.  The victim did not require medical attention.  The male was arrested and later released to appear in court on December 20, 2021 on a charge of Assault.
