Car Hoppers Arrested

On December 21, 2021 shortly after 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of several individuals checking out vehicles in the area of the 2100 block of Ottawa Ave.  The suspects attempted to evade police, but were apprehended near the 1500 block of 18th street.  Police arrested two male youth and an adult male. 

A 16-year-old male youth was found to be in possession of a machete.  He was later released and will appear in court on January 18, 2022 on a charge of Possession of a Weapon. 

An 18-year-old male was also found to be in possession of a prohibited weapon.  He was later released to appear in court on February 14, 2022 on a charge of Possess Prohibited Weapon. 

A 16-year-old male was found to be in possession of stolen property.  He was later released and will appear in court on January 18, 2022 on a charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

 

Impaired Driving

On December 21, 2021, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of 5th street at approximately 9:30 am.  Police noted open cans of beer within the vehicle and the driver displayed signs of impairment.  The 36-year-old male was arrested and provided samples of his breath over the legal limit.  He was later released to appear in court on December 30, 2021 on charges of Driving while Ability Impaired, and Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in the Blood.

An intoxicated 29-year-old male passenger was also arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Disobey Court Order

On December 22, 2021, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence shortly after midnight.  Investigation revealed that the 38-year-old female was to abide by a court order not to communicate with the other individual in the residence.  She was arrested and later released to appear in court on February 28, 2022 on a charge of Disobey Court Order.

 

IPDA

On December 21, 2021, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the 500 block of 12th street shortly before 12:00 pm.  The male was in no condition to care for himself so he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of Peace

On December 21, 2021, at approximately 3:30 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance in a residence.  She was no longer welcome in the home.  To prevent her behavior from continuing, she was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

On December 21, 2021, police located and arrested a 35-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Assault and Mischief to Property.  She was later released and will appear in court in April 2022.

On December 21, 2021, police located and arrested a 30-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
