Domestic Assault/Warrant Executed:

At 9:23am, police responded to a domestic assault at a residence in the 600’ block of McDiarmid Drive.  A 30 year old male resident was arrested and charged for domestic assault.  He was later released on conditions and given a court date of July 16, 2020, to deal with the charge.  A 28 year old female was found to have an outstanding warrant for theft.  She was arrested and released for court on July 27th, 2020.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

At 9:17am, police responded to a disturbance at a business in the 1900’ block of 18th Street North.  A 54 year old male was found to be intoxicated and causing problems.  He was lodged to be released when sober.

 

Fraud Use of Credit Card x13:

On January 14, 2020, Brandon Police received a complaint from a business in Virden, indicating an ex-employee had used a company credit card for unauthorized fuel purchases in Brandon between October 2019 and January 2020.  On April 21, 2020, the suspect, a 40 year old male was located and arrested.  He was released for court on July 20th, 2020.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed:

At 12:50am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1400’ block of Park Ave.  A 43 year old male passenger was found to have warrants for assault, utter threats, fail to attend court, possess stolen credit card, and fail to comply with ident.  He was arrested and held for court in the morning.

 

Fire (garbage bin):

At 12:08am, emergency services responded a garbage bin on fire in the 300’ block of 6th Street.  BFES attended and extinguished the flames.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

 

Fire (residential):

At 4:32am, emergency services responded to a fire the basement of a residence on Regent Crescent.  The small fire was extinguished by BFES and deemed not suspicious.

 

Breach of Peace:

At 1:50am, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 800’ block of Russell Street.  A 23 year old male was found intoxicated and causing problems.  He was lodged to be released when sober.

 

Breach of Peace:

At 5:17am, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 1200’ block of 10th Street.  A 29 year old male was found intoxicated and causing problems.  He was lodged to be released when sober.
