Structure Fire

On December 20, 2021, at approximately 8:30 pm, police responded with members of BFES to a structure fire in the 100 block of 6th street.  The fire was extinguished by 9:23 pm, and there were no reported injuries. 

The building is currently vacant with no tenants.  The building appears to have been recently used by unauthorized individuals seeking shelter.  Investigators believe the fire may have started by someone who was attempting to stay warm.

Stolen Vehicle

On December 20, 2021, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the 300 block of 4th street.  Suspects stole the vehicle between December 18th and 20th.  The vehicle is described as a 2007 silver Ford Explorer XLT with Manitoba license KSR 717.

Stolen Trailer

On December 20, 2021, police responded to a report of the theft of a black utility dump trailer.  Suspects stole the trailer over night from the business compound where it was parked in the 300 block of Park Ave E.  The trailer has a black plastic toolbox on the front, which houses the pump for the lift, and white wheels.  It also has Manitoba license CLY 947.

Arrest Warrants

On December 20, 2021, a 23-year-old male turned himself in to Brandon Police Service, as he was aware of outstanding charges.  Following his arrest he was lodged, and then appeared in court that afternoon on charges of Break, Enter and Commit, Assault with a Weapon and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.

On December 20, 2021, police located and arrested a 37-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order, Utter Counterfeit Money, Fail to comply with Probation Order and Fail to Attend Court.  He appeared in court that afternoon.
