Stolen Vehicle stop leads to recovery of stolen power tools

On December 19, 2021, shortly before 6:00 am, police stopped a vehicle in the 4100 block of Richmond Ave.  The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Winnipeg. 

The two occupants were arrested.  Following a search of the vehicle, police also located a number of power tools, which were stolen from a business in the 800 block of 18th Street N on December 17, 2021.

The suspects, a 39-year-old male and a 35-year-old female were later released and will each appear in court on March 3, 2022 on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime X2.

 

Careless Storage of a Firearm

On December 17, 2021, police responded to a report of an individual who was improperly storing firearms at his residence.  Following an investigation into the complaint, the suspect was arrested on December 19, 2021.  Police seized 10 firearms and ammunition.  The 27-year-old male was later released to appear in court on February 28, 2022 on a charge of Careless Storage of Firearm.

 

Arrest Warrant

On December 19, 2021, at approximately 10:30 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence.  One of the individuals involved was found to have outstanding charges.  The 26-year-old male was arrested and later released to appear in court on February 7, 2022 on charges of Fail to Attend Court and Fail to Comply with Probation.

On December 20, 2021, shortly after midnight, police attended to a report of a disturbance at a residence.  The 39-year-old male who was responsible was found to be wanted on outstanding charges.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will be released once sober to appear in court on February 28, 2022 on a charge of Fail to Attend.

 

Breach of Peace

On December 19, 2021, at approximately 7:30 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated teenage youth in a residence.  Her family were unable to prevent her actions from escalating and they were concerned for her wellbeing.  The 14-year-old female was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
