Theft of Vehicle
At approx. 1030 on Friday, police received a report of a theft of a utility trailer and 2 Sea-Doos from the 100 block of 14th St N. The first is a 2014 Weight Pro white/black/yellow in colour. The second is a 2004 3D yellow/black in colour. The theft occurred between June 5 and June 9th and is still under investigation.
Arrest Warrant Executed
At approx. 3 PM Friday, officers conducted a pedestrian check in the 800 block of Lorne Ave. The male, known to police was found to be the subject of an arrest warrant for failing to attend court. The 40 year old male was arrested and held for court later today.
Assault
At approx. 3:50 PM Friday officers were called to an apartment in the 200 block of Rosser Ave for a disturbance. Upon arrival a female disclosed that her 33 year old boyfriend had slapped her and choked her. The male was arrested on scene without incident. He has since been released on an Undertaking with a court date of July 7th, charged with assault and assault by choking.
Mischief to Property
At approx. 8 AM Friday, police were called to a residence in the 100 block o 14th St. A female had damaged a window and a door at that location. The incident was recorded on video. Officers were able to identify the suspect from the video and a short time later the 34 year old suspect was located in the 800 block of Louise Ave. She was arrested for mischief to property and has since been released on an Undertaking with a court date of August 4.
At approx. 2 AM today, officers conducted a pedestrian check in the 200 block of Middleton Ave. The 47 year old male was found to be the subject of an arrest warrant for unlawfully in a dwelling house, fail to attend for fingerprints and 5 counts of failing to attend court. He was arrested and held for court later today.
Impaired Driving
At approx. 2:05 AM today, police conducted a traffic stop I the 1800 block of Park Ave. The driver displayed signs of impairment and a roadside screening device test was conducted. When the 27 year old female driver failed the roadside test she was arrested for impaired driving and was taken to the Brandon Police Service. Once at the office the accused provided two samples of her breath which resulted in reading slightly over 1.5 times the legal limit. She was released from custody and will appear in court on June 23, charged with impaired driving and drive over .08.
