Breach of Peace

At 10:03am, police were called to the 800’ block of Pacific Ave for a highly intoxicated 28 year old man.  He was arrested and held in custody to be released once sober.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At 7:38pm, an off duty Brandon Police officer observed a 35 year old man who was known to have an outstanding warrant for theft and assault.  The off duty officer observed the suspect until on duty members were able to conduct a traffic stop in the 1400’ block of 3rd Street.  The suspect was arrested and held for court in the morning.

 

Intoxicated Person Detention Act

At 8:10pm, police were called to the 100’ block of McTavish Ave East for an intoxicated 47 year old man who was unable to care for himself.  All options to find someone to look after him were exhausted so he was lodged for his safety at BPS to be released once sober.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At 1:10am, police attempted to conduct a pedestrian check on a 33 year old man in the 100’ block of Victoria Ave East.  The man was wanted for numerous weapons offences including assault with a weapon, failing to attend court, and breaching his release order.  The man attempted to evade capture but was apprehended in the area.  He was held for court in the morning.

 

Breach of Peace

At 12:35am, police were called to the 3100’ block of Victoria Ave for a 15 year old female who was intoxicated and causing problems.  The female disclosed she had consumed psilocybin (mushrooms).  She was cleared medically and held at BPS to be released once sober.

 

Aggravated Assault, Break & Enter, Assault with a Weapon

At 2:32am, police responded to a report of a female with multiple stab wounds to her upper body.  The female indicated her neighbor was responsible for the assault and police attended the residence in the 100’ block of 4th Street.  While outside of the building, police made contact with the suspect in an upstairs suite.  The 27 year old man proceeded to throw “ninja style” throwing stars at the officers.  He then attempted to flee the scene and in doing so threw a knife at officers.  He was apprehended after a foot pursuit and arrested.  The suspect was lodged at BPS to appear in court later today.  The Brandon Police Major Crime Section continues to investigate the incident.
