Care and Control While Impaired

On June 15, 2022, police responded to a report of a male passed out behind the wheel of a parked vehicle while holding a beer at a business in the 200 block of 18th street N shortly after 9:00 pm.  Police arrested the 58-year-old male.  He provided samples of his breath that were more than twice the legal limit. 

He was released to a sober relative and will appear in court on June 20, 2022 on charges of Care or Control While Ability Impaired, and Care or Control while Over .08.

 

Prohibited Driving

On June 15, 2022 shortly before 3:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Queens Ave.  The driver was found to be prohibited from driving in Canada.  He was also the subject of outstanding charges of Assault and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.  The 48-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court today.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On June 15, 2022 at approximately 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male with a large knife in the 200 block of 15th street.  Police located the 33-year-old male who was intoxicated and in possession of a large fileting knife tucked in the waistband of his pants.  He was to abide by conditions not to possess any weapons.  Upon his arrest, police found he was in possession of Codeine.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order and CDSA Possess Codeine.

 

Carry Concealed Weapon

On June 15, 2022 shortly before 9:00 pm, police came across a 31-year-old male pedestrian who was wanted on outstanding charges in the 700 block of 10th street.  Upon his arrest, the male was found to be in possession of a loaded .22 cal handgun, which appeared to have been modified. 

He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Carry Concealed Weapon, Possess Firearm Knowing its Possession if Unauthorized, Possession of Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition, Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order, and CDSA Possession of Fentanyl.

 

Breach of Peace

On June 15, 2022, shortly after 3:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male behaving strangely in the 400 block of 14th street while he was going into residential yards.  The 27-year-old male was found to be under the influence of illicit drugs.  To prevent his behavior from continuing, he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On June 16, 2022, shortly after midnight, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the 1000 block of 26th street who was falling down.  Police located the 49-year-old male who was in no condition to care for himself.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On June 15, 2022 shortly before midnight, police received a report of a 17-year-old male youth who had not come home for his court ordered curfew. 

When the youth arrived home at 5:30 am, police were called again to attend and arrest him.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

 

Arrest Warrants

On June 15, 2022, a 24-year-old female attended to Brandon Police Service, as she was aware of outstanding charges.  She was later released to appear in court on August 4, 2022 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

On June 15, 2022, police located and arrested a 22-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend.  She was later released to appear in court on August 11, 2022.
