Fraud Credit Card

On April 15, 2021, police responded to a report of a female attempting to use a stolen credit card in a business in the 300 block of 18th street N at approximately 3:30 pm.  The 19-year-old female was arrested there and lodged at Brandon Police Service due to her level of intoxication. 

She will be released to appear in court on June 10, 2021 on charges of Possess Property Obtained by Crime and Fraud Credit Card. 

 

Theft Under $5000

On April 15, 2021, police responded to a report of theft of merchandise from a business in the Corral Centre at approximately 5:00 pm.  The 38-year-old male was located and arrested nearby still in possession of the stolen property.  He was also to abide by conditions not to attend the Corral Centre. 

He was released to appear in court on July 5, 2021 on charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking and Theft Under $5000.

 

Fail to Comply with Court Order

On April 11, 2021, police responded to a report of a 38-year-old male who was breaching a court order by attending the residence of the individual with whom he was to have no contact.  The male was located and arrested on April 15, 2021.  He will appear in court on May 17, 2021.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On April 15, 2021 shortly before 9:00 am police observed two individuals together who were to have no communication with one another due to court ordered conditions.

The 19-year-old female was arrested and released to appear in court on June 10, 2021 on a charge of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

The 27-year-old male was also found to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for Fail to Comply with Release Order in addition to the new charge.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and appeared in court later in the day.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On April 15, 2021, police observed a 33-year-old male pedestrian, who was known to be on conditions not to attend the City of Brandon.  The male attempted to avoid arrest by fleeing on foot through several residential properties near the 100 block of 4th street, but he was apprehended in the 200 block of Russell Street shortly after 2:00 pm.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to comply with Release Order. 

In his company was a 27-year-old male who was found to be in possession of meth.  He too was arrested and later released to appear in court on July 8, 2021 on a charge of Possession of Meth.

 

Breach of Peace

On April 16, 2021, police responded to a report of an unknown male banging on a residential door in the 1400 block of 6th street shortly before 1:00 am.  Police located the 36-year-old male in the area.  He was too intoxicated to care for himself or communicate effectively with police.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On April 16, 2021, police responded to a report of a fight in a residence at approximately 1:00 am.  A 33-year-old female and a 39-year-old female were arrested.  The others in the residence were unable to prevent their behavior from escalating further as they were both intoxicated.  They were lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On April 16, 2021 shortly before 2:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in on Cornell Bay.  The 32-year-old female was from a rural address and had nowhere to go and nobody to care for her in her state.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On April 16, 2021 at 2:00 am, police came across a 16-year-old male pedestrian who was to abide by a 24-hour curfew.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to be release to a caregiver once sober.  He will appear in court on May 18, 2021 on charges of Fail to comply with Release Order X3.
