Aggravated Assault

On October 14, 2021, at approximately 8:21 am police responded to a report of a 23-year-old male who had been stabbed near the 200 block of 5th street.  The male was treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation into the stabbing led members of BPS Major Crime Section to conduct a search warrant on a residence on Cornel Bay, where they located and arrested the 16-year-old male suspect.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court on November 9, 2021 on a charge of Aggravated Assault.

 

Break and Enter to Residential Shed

On October 14, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a shed in the 1300 block of White Swan.  Suspects entered the shed between the 13th and 14th of October by cutting the lock.  Stolen was a chop saw, air compressor, pink fat tire bike, hammer drill, electric drill and reciprocating saw.

Disturbance

On October 14, 2021 at 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of a fight in a business in the 1000 block of 18th street.  An intoxicated 16-year-old youth was found to be the cause of the issues.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and was later released to an adult.  He faces fines under the LGCCA for Disorderly in a Licensed Premise and Consume Under 18 year.

 

Breach of Peace

On October 14, 2021 shortly after 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male who was causing problems in a residence where he was no longer welcome.  The 45-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On October 14, 2021, police located a 41-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Assault Cause Bodily Harm.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
