Assault with a Weapon

On March 12, 2022, police responded to a report of an assault, which occurred in the area of the 800 block of Pacific Ave shortly before 8:00 am.  Investigation revealed that a 44-year-old female used a conducted energy weapon on another individual.  She was also to abide by conditions not to possess any weapons.  The female could not immediately be located as she left the area.  The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

On March 14, 2022, police located and arrested the suspect.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Possess Prohibited Weapon, Possession of a Weapon, and Fail to comply with Release Order X2.

 

Break and Enter– Suspect Arrested

On March 14, 2022, police responded to a report of a break and enter to an apartment laundry room in the 1400 block of Lorne Ave E shortly before 9:00 am.  The suspect fled, but was observed by a witness who was able to describe them to police.  Police located and arrested the 33-year-old male suspect shortly after 9:00 am a few blocks away.  Investigation revealed that the suspect had also stolen scrap copper, as he had a small amount in his possession.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service to appear in court on charges of Break and Enter and Theft.

 

Break and Enter

On March 14, 2022, police responded to a report of an attempted break and enter to a residence in the 1000 block of 10th street.  Suspects attempted to gain entry at approximately 1:30 by breaking a window; however, video surveillance revealed the suspects did not gain entry, and nothing was stolen.

Unlawfully in a Dwelling

On March 14, 2022, police responded to a report of an unauthorized individual in a rental unit in the 700 block of 8th street.  The unit should have been vacant.  The 47-year-old male was arrested at the home and later released.  He will appear in court on May 9, 2022 on a charge of Unlawfully in a dwelling.

 

Arrest Warrant

On March 14, 2022, police located and arrested a 35-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Utter Threats.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

 

Possession of a Weapon

On March 14, 2022 shortly before 9:00 pm, police came across an intoxicated individual in the area of the 000 block of 9th street, the male was unable to care for himself and arrested.  Police discovered the 37-year-old male was in possession of bear mace.  He was later released and turned over to sober adults.  He will appear in court on May 9, 2022 on a charge of Possession of a Weapon.

 

Breach of Peace

On March 15, 2022, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at a business in the 300 block of 18th street N at approximately 1:00 am.  Witnesses were concerned for her wellbeing as her actions were escalating.  Police arrested the 30-year-old female and lodged her at Brandon Police Service until sober.
