Residential Search Warrant

On January 13, 2022, members of the Organized Crime Section and the Operational Support and Crime Suppression Unit conducted a search warrant to a residence in the 800 block of Louise Ave E.  Investigators seized over 8 ounces of Crystal Meth and $13,000 in cash.  Police also located property believed to be stolen. 

The maximum street value of the seized drugs is approximately $22,000. 

A 38-year-old male was arrested and later released to appear in court on March 10, 2022 on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

 

Possession of Firearm

On January 13, 2022 at approximately 8:30 pm, police conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of 15th street.  One of the passengers provided police with a false name.  When police learned his identity, they also discovered he was wanted on outstanding charges as well as a Canada Wide Parole Warrant.  Upon the arrest of the 29-year-old male, police located an imitation Firearm CO2 pistol, a replica Glock Firearm/CO2 pistol and a can of bear mace within the vehicle.  Police also arrested a 31-year-old male.

In addition to the outstanding charges and Parole warrant, the 29-year-old male will appear in court today on charges of Public Mischief, Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibited Weapon.  The 31-year-old male was later released and will appear in court on March 14, 2022 on charges of Possession of Weapon and Possession of Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order.

 

Resist Arrest

On January 13, 2022, at approximately 10:00 am, police responded to information of the location of a male who was responsible for four separate thefts of gasoline from local businesses. 

Police located the male operating his vehicle in the area of the 2600 block of Victoria Ave shortly after 12:00 pm.  The male stopped his vehicle but attempted to flee on foot.  Police apprehended him a short distance away.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Resist Arrest and Theft Under $5000 X4.

 

IPDA

On January 13, 2022 shortly after 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an individual sleeping in a common area of a business in the 400 block of 9th street.  The 29-year-old male had nowhere to go and was in no condition to care for himself.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service.

 

Arrest Warrant

On January 13, 2022, police located and arrested a 14-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Possession of a Weapon and Fail to Attend Court.  He was later released and will appear in court on March 29, 2022.

On January 14, 2022, police located and arrested an 18-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges.  She was later released to appear in court on March 14, 2022 on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Fraud Under, and Utter Forged Documents.
