Use of Stolen Credit Card

On August 12, 2021, police responded to a report of an individual losing their wallet in the area of 18th street and Brandon Ave at approximately 10:10 pm.  The owner was able to see through online banking that several credit cards within the wallet were immediately used to make purchases in Brandon.  One of the purchases was for a cab ride. 

Further investigation led police to an address where the 48-year-old male suspect was located and arrested.  He was later released to appear in court on October 4, 2021 on a charge of Use of Stolen Credit Card.

 

Break and Enter to Shed

On August 12, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residential shed in the 700 block of 13th street.  Suspects gained entry overnight by forcing a lock.  Stolen was a variety of tools including a chain saw and orbital sander.  Also stolen was a green BMX Capri bike and a blue mountain bike (unknown brand name).

Fail to comply with Undertaking

On August 12, 2021, shortly before 5:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male who was causing problems at a residence before climbing onto the roof of a neighboring building in the 300 block of 10th street. 

The suspect came safely off the roof on his own accord.  Police learned the 45-year-old male was found to be on conditions not to have communication with one of the residents of the home where he was located.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

 

Breach of the Peace

On August 12, 2021 at 8:00 pm, police responded to a report of a fight in the 000 block of 9th street.  One of the individuals involved, an intoxicated 56-year-old male, was found to be part of the problem.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent his escalating behavior from causing further issues.

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovered

Yesterday we reported on a stolen food delivery vehicle from the 700 block of Victoria Ave on the evening of August 11, 2021.  On the evening of August 12, 2021, the vehicle was recovered in the 900 block of Dennis Street.

Arrest Warrant

On August 13, 2021, police were called to a complaint of a male sleeping in the common area of an apartment building in the 000 block of Victoria Ave E. shortly before 5:00 am.  The 39-year-old male was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
