For the last 24 hours:

Break & Enter, Theft, Warrants:

At 7:21am, police responded to a residential building in the 400’ block of 9^th Street for a report of a 45 year old female from Winnipeg sleeping in a common area.  Upon arrival investigation revealed the female had broken into the building and stole items from within the building.  The accused was also wanted on a warrant from BPS and was on an order to reside in Winnipeg.  She was held in custody for court later that day.

Theft Under $5000 (Shoplifting):

At 10:24am, police were called to a business in the 800’ block of 18^th Street for a 33 year old male who had stolen several items from the store.  He was arrested by police as he was leaving the business.  He was released with a court date of July 26^th, 2021.

Arrest Warrant Executed:

At 2:01pm, police located a 38 year old female who was wanted for Breach of Probation and Failing to Attend Court at a residence on Wankling Blvd.  She was released with a court date of August 5^th, 2021.

Arrest Warrants Executed:

At 3:50pm, police attended to a hotel on 18^th Street North and located two individuals with outstanding warrants.  A 20 year old female wanted for Break Enter and Theft and a 40 year old male wanted for Assault were both arrested.  The female was released for court on August 16^th, 2021.  The male was held in custody for court.

Arrest Warrants Executed:

At 3:45pm, police attended to a residence in the 1100’ block of 9^th Street where they located and arrested a 20 year old male wanted for Assault, Fail to Attend Court x2, Sexual Assault x2, and Sexual Interference x2.  He was also arrested on a new charge of failing to comply as he was in the company of anther individual he was to have no contact with.  He was held in custody for court.

Intoxicated Person Detention Act:

At 5:56pm, police were called to the 500’ block of Princess Ave for an intoxicated individual causing a disturbance.  A 36 year old man was arrested and held in custody to be released once sober.

Recovered Stolen Property:

On May 11^th, police conducted a search warrant on Wankling Blvd and recovered the following:  2012 Ford F250 stolen from Rhein, SK in 2019, 2004 Polaris Sportsman ATV stolen from Deloraine in 2020, and a Giant mountain bike stolen in 2021 from an address in Brandon. A 47 year old man was arrested for possession of stolen property over $5000 as well as tampering with a motor vehicle ID number.  He was held in custody for court on May 12, 2021.

Structure Fire:

At 10:55pm, emergency services responded to a fire in the 900’ block of 7^th Street.  Police attended with BFES and found a garage/shed as well as a fence and trees on fire.  The fire was extinguished by BFES.  This incident is still under investigation.

Break & Enter (Business):

At 12:40am, police responded to an alarm at a business in the 400’ block of Van Horn Ave.  An insecure door was located and it is possible entry was gained.  This matter is still under investigation.
