Possession/FTC Release Order

 

On the morning of June 9th, 2022 Sheriff’s at the Brandon Courthouse notified police that a 35 year old male had attended the location while in possession of Crystal Meth.  The male is on court imposed conditions not to possess any illegal drug.  The accused has been held in custody and is to appear before the court June 10th, 2022 for the charges of Possession of Crystal Meth and Failure to Comply with Release Order. 

 

Commercial Break and Enter

 

On June 9th, 2022 a business in the 1500 block of 18th Street reported that 2 males were captured on video surveillance entering the building through in an insecure door.  While inside the business the suspects conducted minor damage to property, however were unsuccessful in their attempts to complete a theft.  A suspect has been identified and the matter is still under investigation.

 

 Warrant

 

On the afternoon of June 9th, 2022 police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 1800 block of Rosser Avenue.  One of the occupants was found to have a warrant for his arrest.  The 35 year old male has been released to appear in court August 4th, 2022.

 

IPDA

 

On the afternoon of June 9th, 2022 police were alerted to an intoxicated male in the area of Highway 10 and the Trans-Canada Highway.  The male was found to be unable to care for himself due to his level of intoxication.  The 22 year old male is to be released from police custody once sober.

 

Utter Forged Document/FTC Probation

 

On the evening of June 9th, 2022 police conducted a pedestrian stop with a 24 year old female in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue.  A check of Police records showed the subject to have a warrant of arrest for Uttering a Forged Document as well as Failure to Comply with Probation.  The accused has been released to appear in court July 21, 2022.

 

 

FTC Release Order

 

On the evening of June 9th, 2022 police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 400 block of 4th Street.  A check of police records found a 25 year old female within the vehicle not to associate with another occupant.  The accused has been released to appear in court August 4th, 2022.

On the evening of June 9th, 2022 police conducted a pedestrian stop with two males in the 900 block of 18th Street.  The two subjects were found to abide by several court imposed conditions whereby the two are not to associate with each other.  A 20 year old male attempted to resist the efforts of police to effect his arrest.  The subject was taken into custody and is to appear before the court June 10th, 2022 for the charges of Failure to Comply with Release Order X2 and Resist Arrest.

 

The second male was arrested by police without incident.  The 20 year old male has been held in custody to appear before the court June 10th, 2022 for the charges of Failure to Comply with Release Order X4.

 

 

 

FTC Release Order

 

On the evening of June 9th, 2022 police attended to a residence in the 400 block of Frederick Street to conduct a curfew check of a 45 year old male, as the subject is required to abide by a court imposed curfew.  The male was determined not to be at the residence and was later located by police at a secondary address.  The accused has been held in custody to appear in court June 10th, 2022.

 

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

 

On the evening of June 9th, 2022 police located an unoccupied Chevrolet Silverado in the 800 block of Lorne Ave E.  A check of police records showed the vehicle to have been stolen and the owner has been notified of it’s recovery.

 

Warrant

 

On the evening of June 9th, 2022 police conducted a pedestrian stop with 44 year old male in the 1500 block of Rosser Avenue.  A check of police records showed the male to have a warrant for his arrest.  The accused has been released to appear before the court August 4th, 2022 for the charge of Fail to Comply with Probation.

 

Assault Weapon

 

On the evening of June 9th, 2022 police responded to a report of an assault which occurred in the 1300 block of 7th Street.  The victim was found to have been struck with brass knuckles and bear mace by two individuals that are known to him.  The victim did not sustain any serious injuries and the investigation by police is on-going.

 

CDSA PPT

 

On June 10th, 2022 members of the BPS Crime Suppression Section and Organized Crime Sections executed a CDSA search warrant on a residence in the 1000 block of 26th Street.  A search of the residence resulted in locating 3 ounces of meth with a street value of $4000, and various materials indicative of drug trafficking.  A 50 year old female is to appear in court August 11th, 2022 for Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine.

 

IPDA

 

On June 10th, 2022 police responded to the 1400 block of 17th St E for a report of an intoxicated female.  The 22 year old female was found to be unable to care for herself and is to be released from police custody once sober.

 

Warrant

 

On June 6th, 2022 an RCMP notified BPS that they had a 26 year old male in custody that had a warrant of arrest held by BPS.  The accused is to appear in court August 4th, 2022 for the charge of Fail to Attend Court.
