Assault / Resist Arrest
On December 9, 2021 shortly after 4:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male at a residence, and in communication with an individual with whom he was to have no contact. When police arrived at the home, they witnessed the male assault a victim before locking police out. The male then fled out a window on the opposite side of the building and was pursued on foot before he was apprehended and arrested.
The 31-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Resist Arrest, Assault and Fail to Comply with Court Order. The victim did not require medical attention.
Theft Under $5000
On December 9, 2021 at 8:30 pm, police responded to a report of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave. The suspect left the business, but police located and arrested her a short distance away.
The 30-year-old female was also wanted for theft of merchandise from the same business on November 16, 2021. She was later released to appear in court on February 3, 2021 on charges of Theft Under $5000 X2 and Fail to Comply with Probations X2.
Arrest Warrant
On December 9, 2021, police located and arrested a 27-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Theft Under, Trespass by Night and Fail to Attend Court. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
IPDA
On December 9, 2021 shortly after 7:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the common area of an apartment building on Cornell Bay. The male did not live there, and had nowhere to stay. He was not able to care for himself, so he was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
