Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth

On July 24, 2022, police responded to a report of a homeowner locating to finding two small baggies in their yard.  Security footage revealed a male running down the back lane on July 23, 2022, throwing the items into the yard, followed by a police cruiser.  Investigation revealed that the substance in the baggies was over 37 grams of meth.  Police knew the identity of the male who threw it.

On August 9, 2022, police located and arrested the 48-year-old male.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth.

 

Safer Neighbourhoods and Policing Initiative – SNAP Reminder:

Fraud Under $5000

On April 28, 2022, police received a report of the theft of a wallet from a vehicle parked in the 900 block of 12th street.  Following the theft, a cheque from within the wallet were forged and deposited into the suspects account.  Further investigation revealed the identity of the suspect and a warrant for her arrest was obtained.

On August 9, 2022, police located and arrested the 38-year-old female suspect on the outstanding charges.  She was later released and will appear in court on August 15, 2022 on charges of Fraud Under $5000 and Use Forged Document.

 

Possession of a Weapon

On August 9, 2022, police responded to a report of a male with a large knife in the area of the 900 block of Rosser Ave shortly after 8:00 am.  Police located the male in the 800 block of Princess, and he was still in possession of the knife.  He was arrested and later released to appear in court on October 6, 2022 on a charge of Possession of a Weapon.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On August 9, 2022, police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 800 block of Princess Ave shortly after 6:00 pm.  Investigation revealed that an intoxicated 28-year-old female was responsible.  She was to abstain from consuming alcohol and therefore arrested.  She was later released to appear in court on October 6, 2022 on a charge of Fail to comply with Undertaking.

 

Arrest Warrant

On August 9, 2022, police located and arrested a 23-year-old female who was wanted on an outstanding charge of Fail to Comply with Probation.  She was later released and will appear in court on September 12, 2022.
