Breach of Court Order

On Thursday evening, police attended a residence on Queen’s Avenue for a disturbance. A 56-year-old Brandon male was located, intoxicated and banging on the door to a residence. The male is bound by a court order to abstain from consuming alcohol. He was arrested and lodged for release in the morning.

On Thursday evening, police attended a complaint of a disturbance in the 300 block of 6th Street. One male, a 25-year-old from Brandon was checked and found to be bound by a 24-hour curfew. The male was arrested and lodged for court in the morning.

 

Robbery

At 11:30 pm, a male was fueling his vehicle at a convenience store on Victoria Avenue when he was approached by a male claiming to have a handgun, threatened to shoot the victim and then stole the victim’s vehicle. The vehicle was located in the 3500 block of Willowdale and the male suspect was located in a residence in the area. The 25-year-old Brandon male was arrested without incident and lodged for court in the morning. No handgun was located.

 

CBSA Order of Detention

On Thursday, BPS received a request to assist Immigration Enforcement to arrest a male currently in custody at the Brandon Correctional Center on a CBSA Order of Detention. The 35-year-old male rom North Dakota was arrested and held in custody pending an immigration hearing.

 

Other Arrests

One female was arrested for breach of the peace and one other female was arrested under the Intoxicated Person’s Detention Act. Both will be released when sober.
