Fail to Comply with Undertaking

At 4:00 pm, a traffic stop was conducted in the 400 block off Russell St. The 61 year old male who was operating the vehicle was arrested for failing to comply with the conditions of his undertaking as he was not be in contact with the female who was the passenger in the vehicle. He was released on an appearance notice for court at a later date.

 

Assault

At 6:41 pm, a taxi driver reported being assaulted by a fare while dropping them off in the area of Lily Cres and Queens Cres. The 30 year old male stuck the driver in the face. The suspect was later located in the 3500 block of Victoria Ave and was arrested and released on an undertaking for court at a later date.

 

Possession of a Weapon

At 11:00 pm, a 25 year old male was observed in the 700 block of 10th St carrying a bag that had the handle of a weapon sticking out of it. Upon approaching the male it was discover that the item in the bag was a large homemade sword/knife. He was charged with possession of a weapon and was later released on an undertaking to appear in a court at a later date.

 

Possession of Controlled Substance

At 11:48, BPS was conducting a Checkstop in the 2500 block of Ottawa Ave when a vehicle was pulled in and the members saw cocaine in plain view during the stop. Upon further search a small quantity of meth was also found. The 61 year old male was arrested and later released on an undertaking after being charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of proceeds of crime.
