MVA involving Emergency Vehicle

At 2:15 Saturday afternoon, officers were dispatched to a two vehicle collision at 1st St and Rosser Ave.  The investigation revealed an eastbound Chevy Cruze ran the red light on Rosser at 1st St and collided with a northbound City of Brandon Firetruck. The two occupants of the car were taken to the Brandon Regional Health Centre and were treated and released.  Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene.  The car’s driver, a 24 year old of Brandon, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for disobeying a traffic control device (red light), as well as drive an unregistered vehicle and driving without a valid license.  

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 1:40 AM today, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of Lorne Ave.  A 41 year old Sioux Valley male within the vehicle was found to be the subject of a warrant for failing to attend for fingerprints. He was also the subject of a daily curfew, which he was not abiding by.  He was arrested and will appear in court later today.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 3:45 AM today, police conducted a traffic stop near 18th and Rosser Ave.  A 33 year old male of Waywayseecappo was checked in the vehicle and found to be the subject of a Winnipeg Police Service warrant for failing to comply with a release order.  The male has since been released with a court date of April 12, in Winnipeg.
