Breach of Peace

On October 7, 2021 shortly before 1:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male standing at a restaurant drive-through in the 900 block of 18th street harassing customers by growling at them.  Police arrested the 27-year-old male and lodged him at Brandon Police Service to prevent his behavior from continuing.

On October 7, 2021, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the area of 1200 block of Rosser Ave shortly before 5:00 pm.  The male was acting in an aggressive and threatening manner towards others in the area.  To prevent his behavior from continuing, he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Possession of Prohibited Weapon – Bear Mace

On October 7, 2021, police observed a 43-year-old female in the 300 block of 18th street N, in possession of a can of Bear Mace.  Upon her arrest, police also found she was in possession of three throwing knives and a hunting knife, contrary to a court ordered condition not to be in possession of any weapons.  She was later released an will appear in court on December 20, 2021 on charges of Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Possession of Weapon and Fail to Comply with Undertaking.

On October 7, 2021, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the 100 block of McTavish Ave E at approximately 5:30 pm.  The 44-year-old male was in no condition to care for himself, and there was nobody else to care for him.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On October 7, 2021 at 12:30 pm, police responded to a report of a female jumping into traffic near the intersection of 34th street and Victoria Ave.  Police located the 27-year-old female who was intoxicated and unable to care for herself.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On October 7, 2021 at approximately 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female walking into traffic in the 1800 block of Richmond Ave.  The 43-year-old female was in no condition to care for herself and had nowhere to go as she was from a rural community.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On October 7, 2021 shortly before midnight, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male knocking on doors in the 1200 block of 10th street.  Police located the 39-year-old male, who was unable to care for himself and there was nobody willing to care for him.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
