Arrest Warrant Executed 

At 7:19am, police were called to a business in the 1500’ block of 18th Street for a suspicious male.  Police located a 30 year old man who had an outstanding warrant for theft under $5000.  He was arrested without incident and released for court on August 4, 2022.

 

Assault 

On May 19, 2022, a 13 year old boy attended a school in Brandon and assaulted another student outside.  The incident was investigated by the Brandon Police Service School Resource Officer and on June 7, 2022, the accused was arrested.  He was released for court on November 8, 2022.

 

Unlawfully in a Dwelling, Public Mischief, Resist Arrest, Breach of Release Order 

On June 7, 2022, police located a 39 year old man inside a vacant home on Princess Ave East.  He provided police with a false identity and was released for court.  Shortly thereafter his true identity was discovered and he was once again located in the downtown area.  This time, when police attempted to arrest him he fled on foot.  He was quickly apprehended and lodged for court.  He was also found to be in breach of a release order and had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed 

At 3:24pm, police located a 23 year old man near 8th Street and Pacific Ave who was wanted for Breach of Probation.  He was arrested without incident and released for court on August 4, 2022.

 

Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference 

At 5:49pm, police were flagged down in the 900’ block of McTavish Ave and advised a 58 year old man had just inappropriately touched a 13 year old girl.  The suspect was quickly located by police in the area and found to have an intellectual disability.  He was arrested and transported to BPS where he was later released on numerous conditions and given a court date of August 29, 2022.

 

Breach of Peace

At 9:48pm, police attended to a residence in the 1600’ block of Victoria Ave East for a disturbance.  A 27 year old female was arrested for Breach of the Peace and later released in the morning without charges.

 

LGCA – Consume Under 

At 9:04pm, police were called to an address in the 800’ block of 14th Street as a 16 year old male who was under the influence and causing a disturbance in the residence.  He was arrested and held at BPS to be released when sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking 

At 10:38pm, police were called to a residence in the 1500’ block of Lorne Ave for a 15 year old male who came home past his court imposed curfew and had been drinking alcohol.  He was arrested and charged for failing to comply.  He was given a court date of August 9, 2022, and turned over to a guardian at the home.
