Identity Fraud

On December 8, 2021, shortly after 4:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 3300 block of Richmond Ave.  Investigation led police to discover a 51-year-old male passenger was to abide by release conditions, including a curfew.  He was also wanted on an outstanding charge of Fail to Appear in Court. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on additional charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X3.

A second passenger provided police with a false name.  Investigation led police to learn his identity.  Upon his arrest, he was found to be in possession of several-forged driver’s licenses, which matched the name on cheques found in his possession.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Forgery and Identity Fraud.

 

Break and Enter to Business

On December 7, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a business storage shed in the 1100 block of Princess Ave.  Suspects entered the shed overnight and stole two Milwaukee tool kits, saws and a leaf blower.  All the items except the leaf blower were located in a nearby garbage bin, and returned to the business.  Anyone with information regarding this B&E is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345 or https://www.brandon.ca/police-contact/police-contact.

 

Assault

On December 7, 2021, police responded to a report of an assault in a residence.  The victim did not require medical attention.  The 24-year-old female was arrested and later released to appear in court on February 17, 2022 on a charge of Assault.

 

 Assault

On December 5, 2021, police responded to a report of a historical assault, which occurred in May 2018 at a residence.  The victim did receive medical attention at the time for sustained injuries, but did not make a police report.  Following an investigation into the incident, police arrested the 44-year-old female on December 7, 2021.  She was later released and will appear in court on January 3, 2022 on a charge of Assault.

 

Arrest Warrant

On December 7, 2021, police located and arrested a 34-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court and Possession of a Weapon.  He was later released to appear in court on January 8, 2022.
