Theft of Firearm from Vehicle

On April 6, 2022, police responded to a report of the theft of a firearm from the back of a vehicle parked on Fife Close.  It is believed that suspects entered the locked vehicle sometime overnight.  The firearm is described as an older model Cooey bolt action .22.

Theft Under $5000

On March 29, 2022, police responded to a report of a theft of a bag containing the victim’s personal belongings including a laptop was stolen while the victim was at a business in the 2600 block of Victoria Ave.  Security footage from the business assisted police in identifying the 41-year-old female.

On April 6, 2022, police located and arrested the female suspect who was also wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Theft Under $5000 and Fail to Attend Court. 

The laptop was recovered.

 

Update: Additional arrest from April 1, 2022 CDSA Search Warrant

On April 6, 2022, police arrested an additional suspect associated to the CDSA Search warrant conducted in the 500 block of Louise Ave on April 1, 2022.

The 21-year-old female was later released and will appear in court on June 9, 2022 on charges of Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth, Proceeds of Crime and Possess Weapon Dangerous.

 

IPDA

On April 6, 2022 at approximately 1:30 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male on the ground in the 1500 block of Pacific Ave.  The 28-year-old male was in no condition to care for himself.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Breach of Peace

On April 6, 2022 at approximately 3:30 pm, police responded to a report of a male who was under the influence of illicit drugs at a business in the 3400 block of Victoria.  The male stole some candy before locking himself into a washroom.  The 29-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober to prevent his actions from continuing.

 

IPDA

On April 7, 2022, police were flagged down by a pedestrian shortly after 4:00 am.  The 22-year-old female admitted to taking meth, and she was experiencing symptoms and hallucinations that were causing her concern for her own actions.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrants

On April 7, 2022, police were searching for two wanted individuals at a residence shortly after 2:30 am.  They were both discovered hiding from police inside a closet.  The 23-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to comply with Release Order.  The 27-year-old male was arrested and later released to appear in court on May 31, 2022 on a charge of Fail to Attend Court.

On April 6, 2022, police located and arrested a 20-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order X5.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and appeared in court later that day.

On April 6, 2022, a 27-year-old female attended Brandon Police Service, as he was aware of an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  He was later released to appear in court on charges of Driving While Ability Impaired, Fail to Attend Court and Fail to comply with Release Order.

On April 6, 2022, police located and arrested a 37-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  He was later released to appear in court on July 5, 2022.

On April 7, 2022, police located and arrested a 42-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Possess Weapon, Fail to Attend Court.  He was later released to appear in court on a later date this spring.
