Break and Enter to Business

On October 5, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a business in the 400 block of 10th street.  Suspects entered the business by damaging a window.  Once inside, suspects spread paint around the interior of the building.  Suspects also took paint from the business to vandalize a second business nearby.  Anyone with information regarding this B&E is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345 or https://www.brandon.ca/police-contact/police-contact.

 

Break and Enter to Business

On October 5, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a business in the 500 block of Grandview St.  Suspects gained entry to the business compound by cutting the gate overnight.  Stolen was a generator and an assortment of tools.  Anyone with information regarding this B&E is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345 or https://www.brandon.ca/police-contact/police-contact.

 

IPDA

On October 5, 2021, police responded to a report of a female who was jumping into traffic in the 800 block of Rosser Ave shortly before 4:00 pm.  Police located and arrested the 30-year-old female, who was intoxicated and in no condition to care for herself.  She was lodged until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On October 5, 2021, police responded to a report of a bike theft.  The suspect had posted the bike for sale online.  Police met with the suspect who was in possession of the stolen bike.  Upon his arrest, police discovered that the 38-year-old male was also in possession of a cell phone contrary to an undertaking condition.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with Undertaking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

 

Breach of Peace

On October 5, 2021 shortly before 4:00 pm, a 33-year-old female attended to Brandon Police Service and proceeded to yell and swear while making gestures through the window to the employees working at the front counter.  Police arrested the female, who was intoxicated.  To prevent her behavior from escalating, she was lodged until sober.

 

Theft Under $5000

On October 5, 2021, police responded to a report of a theft from a business in the 900 block of 18th street N.  The suspect left the store with the stolen merchandise, but employees recognized him as he had been previously barred from the business.  He was located and arrested alter in the day.  The 34-year-old male was later released to appear in court on December 6, 2021.

 

Refuse Breath Sample

On October 5, 2021 at approximately 10:30 pm, police responded to a report of an impaired driver.  A witness observed the suspect swerving and disobeying multiple traffic laws before parking at a residence.  Police attended to the residence and arrested the driver who was displaying signs of impairment as well as being a prohibited driver.  The 42-year-old female refused to provide samples of her breath.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released once sober to appear in court on December 30, 2021 on charges of Drive Prohibited, Refuse Breath Sample and Impaired Driving.

On October 6, 2021, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male who was attempting to drive his vehicle from a parking lot in the 1200 block of 18th street at approximately 12:30 am.  A witness intervened to prevent the male from leaving.  Police arrested the intoxicated 33-year-old male who refused to provide a breath sample.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released when sober to appear in court at a later time.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On October 6, 2021, shortly before 4:00 am, police responded to a report of a male who was causing a disturbance at a business in the 700 block of 10th street by running in and out of the business while screaming.  The 27-year-old male was located hiding in some long grass nearby and arrested.  He was found to be intoxicated contrary to his court order conditions.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking X3.

 

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth

On October 6, 2021 shortly after 4:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Victoria Ave.  An investigation into the passengers led police to discover that they were in possession of 30 grams of Meth.  Arrested were a 48-year-old male and a 47-year-old female.  They were both lodged at Brandon Police service to appear in court today.
