Multi-Vehicle Collision – Suspect Driver Arrested

On November 4, 2021, at 9:52 am, police responded to a report of a multi-vehicle collision in the 700 block of Princess Ave.  A vehicle travelling westbound on Princess Ave struck a parked car on the north side of the roadway.  The impact caused that car to then strike a second vehicle parked in front of it.  The suspect vehicle then continued to travel and turned southwest, while picking up speed.  The suspect vehicle then struck a third vehicle, which was parked, on the south side of Princess Ave, before striking a building in the 700 block of Princess Ave.  The female driver of the suspect vehicle then walked away from the scene.  Nobody was injured from these collisions. 

Police located and arrested the 24-year-old female driver a short distance away.  She was found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Assault with a Weapon.  She was later released and will appear in court on the warrant charges.  She also faces numerous fines under the Highway Traffic Act including: Drive Without Holding Valid Driver’s Licence, As the Driver of a Vehicle Involved in an Accident - Fail to Give Required Information, and Drive Carelessly.

 

Assault Peace Officer

On November 4, 2021, police responded to a report of a Form 14 MHA Retake Order shortly after 12:00 pm.  They located the 34-year-old male subject at a residence.  There the male attempted to avoid arrest by fighting with the officers.  He attempted to hit them and at one point, he picked up a very large decorative rock, which he had to two-hand throw at the members, narrowly missing one of their heads.  There were no injuries because of this incident.

The male was arrested and will appear in court on December 30, 2021 on charges of Assault Peace Officer and Resist Arrest.  He was returned to the care of Centre for Adult Psychiatry.

 

Theft Under $5000

On November 4, 2021 at 1:30 pm, police responded to a report of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  The suspect left the business and was located and arrested a few blocks away still in possession of the stolen goods.  The 60-year-old male was later released to appear in court on December 30, 2021 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Theft Under $5000

On November 4, 2021 at 6:00 pm, police responded to a report of the theft of merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave.  The 44-year-old male was later located and lodged at Brandon Police Service due to his intoxication level.  He will be released to appear in court on December 30, 2021 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Arrest Warrants

On November 4, 2021, a 23-year-old male attended to the courthouse where he was arrested on an outstanding charge of Fail to comply with Release Order.  He was held in custody at the courthouse to appear on the charge.

On November 4, 2021, police conducted at traffic stop in the 1900 block of Richmond Ave shortly after 5:00 pm.  One of the passengers was found to be the subject of outstanding charges.  The 43-year-old female was arrested and released to appear in court on December 30, 2021 on charges of Theft Under, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and several weapons offences.

On November 4, 2021, police located and arrested a 29-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Mischief Under and Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
