Theft Under $5000

On January 4, 2022, police responded to a report of a male attempting to steal merchandise from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Ave shortly after 10:00 am.  Employees also had to confront the male as he took his mask off to smoke a cigarette while in the business, and he would not leave when they asked him too.  The male was located and arrested at the business, and the merchandise was recovered.  The 29-year-old male was later released to appear in court on March 7, 2022 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Breach of Peace

On January 4, 2022 shortly after 9:00 pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence.  Neighbors reported hearing yelling and screaming.  Police discovered a 42-year-old intoxicated male to be the cause of the issues.  To prevent his behavior from continuing, he was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

IPDA

On January 5, 2022, shortly after 1:00 am, police located two individuals believed to be carhopping in the area of Cater Drive as their fresh footprints in the snow could be seen leading to several vehicles.  Both 23-year-old males were found to be intoxicated and in no condition to care for themselves.  They were arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On January 4, 2022, police located and arrested a 47-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and appeared in court yesterday.
