B&Es to Residential Sheds – Suspect Arrested in Possession of Stolen Bicycle

On June 2, 2022, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a shed in the 800 block of Russell Street.  Suspects cut the lock to the shed at approximately 5:00 am. It is unknown if anything was taken.

A second shed in the same city block was also broken into overnight by suspects who cut the lock and stole a red and orange CCM fat boy bike with 4-inch fat tires.

A third shed in the 900 block of Russell Street was broken into overnight.  Suspects stole a charcoal CCM bicycle.

On June 3, 2022 shortly after 2:00 am, police came across a male riding a fat bike that matched the description of the one which had been stolen.  The 27-year-old male was arrested once police confirmed he was in possession of the stolen bike.  The male was later released and will appear in court on July 28, 2022 on a charge of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. 

 

Assault with a Weapon

On June 2, 2022, police responded to a report of a suspect who was attempting to steal merchandise from a business in the 1500 block of 18th street shortly after 4:00 pm.  An employee of the business confronted the 27-year-old male suspect, but was punched.  The suspect then threw potted plants and a metal sign, striking a second employee.  The victims did not require medical attention.

As the suspect left the business, he continued to throw potted plants at the windows.  He was located and arrested nearby, and was lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will appear in court today on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Assault, Mischief to Property and Theft Under $5000.

 

Feeny Warrant

On June 2, 2022 at approximately 9:30 pm, police observed a male on the deck of a residence in the 400 block of 7th street.  The male was known to police to be wanted on outstanding charges of Fraud Under $5000 X2.  The male was also to abide by Release Order conditions not to attend the City of Brandon.

The male went into the residence when he saw police to avoid arrest.  Officers acquired a Feeny Warrant to enter the home to arrest the 32-year-old male.  Once arrested, the male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

 

IPDA

On June 2, 2022, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female in the 700 block of Rosser Ave shortly after 9:00 am.  Police located the 27-year-old female, who was in no condition to care for herself.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On June 3, 2022, shortly before 4:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated 15-year-old female walking in the middle of the road near 18th street and Park Ave.  Her caregivers were with her but they were unable to prevent her behavior from continuing or escalating, and were therefore unable to keep her safe.  The youth was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On June 3, 2022, shortly after 4:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in a business in the 1100 block of 18th street.  The 21-year-old male was in no condition to care for himself, and his family was unable to care for him.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On June 2, 2022, police responded to a report that a male was at a residence and in communication with individuals there against conditions of a release order.  Police located and arrested the male at the residence.  The 32-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order and Fail to Comply with Probation.
