Break and Enter

At 9:30 AM Saturday, police received a call of a break and enter to a garage in the 1200 block of 1st St. The homeowner had entered his garage to find a male inside.  The suspect fled on foot without any physical confrontation, prior to the call to police.  The caller provided a description of the male that fled to the responding officers.  At approx. 8:45 PM an off duty officer spotted the suspect in the area of the 1000 block of 18th St.  The officer called on duty police to the area and the 28 year old male was arrested in the area of 18th and Brandon Ave. He was charged with break and enter, mischief over $5000, and 3 counts of mischief under $5000. The suspect has since been released from custody with a court date of August 29.

Break and Enter  

At approx. 10:30 Saturday morning, police received a call of a break in to an apartment under construction in the 1200 block of 1st St.  At the time of report it did not appear anything had been stolen however there was damage to the suite.  

Assault Peace Officer

At approx. 12:30 PM Saturday officers had arrested an 18 year old male who was high on drugs and causing a disturbance.  Members took the male to the hospital to have him cleared medically.  At one point in the process the male became agitated and spit in the face of the officer dealing with him. He was arrested for assault and held until sober.   

Stolen Vehicle - Recovered

At approx. 11:45 AM Saturday, police received a report of a stolen vehicle.  A 2006 Chev Impala MB Lic KUN 624 was stolen from Cornell Bay sometime between 11 PM Friday and 11:40 AM Saturday.  At approx. 11:15 Saturday evening police received a call of a suspicious vehicle parked on Garwood Dr. Officers attended and located the stolen Impala, which had had its windows smashed out.  The matter is still under investigation. 

Theft Under / Possess Break-in Instruments

At approx. 5:20 PM Saturday police received a call that an employee of a business in the 200 block of Rosser had apprehended a male stealing a backpack.  The 41 year old male suspect was detained until police arrival.  Once arrested the male was searched and found to be in possession of a set of bolt cutters.  He was arrested for theft and possession of break-in tools and has since been released with a court date of August 29.

Break and Enter

At approx. 9:10 PM Saturday police were called to a residence on Falcon Cres for a break and enter. The caller had witnessed three suspects pull up in vehicle, break into a residence, and then flee in the same vehicle. Officers located the vehicle fleeing the area however did not pursue the vehicle or safety reasons.  A short time later, after further investigation a suspect was identified. Officers located the 32 year old male suspect was located at his residence and arrested for break enter and theft. Police have also requested warrants for the arrest for a second male and a female in relation to this incident.

Arrest Warrant Executed

At approx. 12:15 AM today a 22 year old male attended to BPS to turn himself in as he was aware that a warrant was issued for his arrest.  The 22 year old male was arrested and has since been released for custody with a court date of September 1.
