Assault with a Weapon
On January 2, 2022 at approx. 4:15 pm, police received a report that a female had hit a male on the head with a tire iron on Alaska Bay. The male then punched the female several times. Members attended and initial arrested the 20 year old female for assault with a weapon. The male refused to go to the hospital for treatment. The female was taken to the hospital. At the hospital her injuries became more prominent. Upon talking to the doctor she obtained serious injuries. As a result, police attended back to the residence and arrested the 39 year old male for assault. The female was released to attend court on March 7 on charges of Assault with a Weapon. The male was released to attend court on March 10 on charges of Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
Possession of a Weapon
On January 2, 2022 at approx. 8:30 pm, police checked a person in the 500 blk Rosser Ave. Records showed the 38 year old male had a warrant for his arrest on charges of Assault with a Weapon, Forcible Confinement and other charges. He was arrested and upon being search police found a BB gun in his possession. He was also on a Release Order not to possess any weapons. He will appear before a Justice this morning on charges from the warrant and the additional charges of Possess a Weapon and Fail to Comply with Release Order.
Other Arrests
On January 2, 2022 at approx. 8:00 pm, police received a report of a female freaking out in the 800 blk 24th St. Police attended and located a 19 year old female. She was intoxicated and would not calm down. She was arrested for Breach of Peace and lodged until sober.
On January 2, 2022 at approx. 10:50 pm, police received a report of a male inside a building on Ottawa Avenue. He was kicking at doors. Police attended and located a 38 year old male. He was intoxicated and had no place to go. He was arrested for Breach of Peace and lodged until sober.
On January 3, 2022 at approx. 12:20 am, police conducted a check at the residence of a male they knew had a warrant for his arrest. The 38 year old male was home. He was arrested on the outstanding warrant for assault. Police lodged him to appear before a Justice this morning on charges from the warrant.
On January 3, 2022 at approx. 6:00 am, police received a report of a female kicking doors in the 100 blk 1st St. Police attended and located a 19 year old female, who was intoxicated. A records check showed there was an outstanding warrant for her arrest on charges of Break, Enter and Theft. She was lodged to appear before a Justice this morning on charges from the warrant.
