Break and Enter to Residence – Suspect Arrested

On October 13, 2021, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 300 block of 2nd street.  It was later discovered that a MacBook laptop and a cell phone were stolen.

Images from security footage and further investigation led investigators to discover the identity of the individual responsible for the B&E and Theft. 

On December 2, 2021, police located and arrested the male.  He was later released to appear in court on February 3, 2022 on charges of Break Enter and Theft and Break Enter with Intent.  The stolen items were recovered to be returned to the owner.

Impaired Driver

On December 3, 2021, shortly before 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of an impaired driver in the 3100 block of Victoria Ave.  Police located the vehicle parked in a back lane in the 700 block of 22 street.  Police were able to locate and arrest the driver a short distance away from the vehicle as she left fresh footprints in the snow. 

The 33-year-old female provided samples of her breath over the legal limit.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released once sober to appear in court on December 9, 2021 on charges of Driving While Ability Impaired, and Driving with More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in the Blood.

 

Break and Enter to Residence

On December 2, 2021, police responded to a report of a Break and Enter to a residence in the 500 block of 2nd street.  Suspects entered the home by prying the door sometime overnight.  When the homeowner returned, the doors were left open, and the family dogs were in the back yard unharmed.  At this time, nothing appears missing.

Theft Under $5000

On December 2, 2021, police responded to a report of a theft of merchandise from a business in the 2000 block of Brandon Ave shortly after 6:00 pm.  The suspect fled the store, but police located and arrested her a short distance away.  The 25-year-old female was lodged at Brandon Police Service due to her intoxication level and will be released once sober to appear in court in 2022 on a charge of Theft Under $5000.

 

Fight in Residence

On December 3, 2021, police responded to a report of a fight between brothers at a residence shortly before 4:00 am.  Both males were intoxicated and their family was unable to prevent their actions from escalating. 

The 31-year-old brother was found to be bound by condition not to attend the address.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to Comply with Undertaking.  The 25-year-old brother was lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent his actions from continuing and will be released once sober without charges.

 

IPDA

On December 2, 2021, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male attempting to fight other people in the area of the 800 block of Rosser Ave shortly before 8:00 pm.  The 48-year-old male was in no condition to care for himself.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released when sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On December 2, 2021 at midnight, police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Middleton Ave with several people inside.  One of the occupants, a 21-year-old female was found to be bound by a 24-hour curfew.  Upon her arrest, she was also found to be in possession of cannabis, contrary to her release order.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to comply with Release Order X2.

 

Arrest Warrant

On December 3, 2021, police located and arrested a 33-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Fail to Attend Court.  He was later released to appear in court on February 25, 2022.
