Impaired Driving

On September 2, 2021 at 1:00 am, police stopped a vehicle in the 1800 block of Maryland Ave after observing several traffic infractions.  After the vehicle stopped, the driver reversed into the police cruiser causing minor damage to both vehicles.  The driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested. 

The 21-year-old male provided samples of his breath more than twice the legal limit.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will be released once sober to appear in court on November 22, 2021 on charges of Driving While Ability Impaired, and Driving with More Than 80 mgs if Alcohol in Blood.

 

Possess Prohibited Weapon – Bear Mace

On September 1, 2021, police responded to a report of a suspect with bear mace in the 400 block of 8th street shortly after 12:00 pm.  Police located and arrested the 35-year-old male a short time later.  He was still in possession of the bear mace.  He was later released to appear in court on October 21, 2021 on charges of Possession of a Weapon and Possess Prohibited Weapon.

 

Mischief to Property

On September 1, 2021 shortly after 8:00 am, police responded to a report of a male breaking windows on vehicles parked on Alaska Bay.  Police located and arrested the 20-year-old suspect.  In his possession was an imitation pellet pistol.  He was later released and will appear in court on November 25, 2021 on charges of Mischief Under $5000 and Carry Concealed Weapon.

 

Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth

On September 2, 2021 at 3:30 am, police located and arrested a 22-year-old female suspect who was in possession of 12 grams of Meth.  She was also in possession of several knives contrary to a release order.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Possess for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth, Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On September 1, 2021, police responded to a report of a male who was in direct contact with an individual with whom he was to have no communication.  The male was located and arrested at a residence shortly after 11:00 am.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to comply with Release Order.

 

Take Vehicle without Owner’s Consent

On August 31, 2021, police responded to a report of a female suspect who took a family member’s vehicle without their consent.  The 39-year-old female was located and arrested on September 1, 2021.  She was later released to appear in court on November 25, on a charge of Take Vehicle without Owner’s Consent.

 

Arrest Warrant

On September 1, 2021, police located and arrested a 34-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear on court today.

On September 2, 2021 shortly after 1:00 am, police responded to a report of a suspicious male in the area of the 800 block of Princess Ave.  Police located the 29-year-old suspect who provided a false name to avoid arrest, as he was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Probation.  He was later released to appear in court on November 22, 2021 with an additional charge of Public Mischief.  

 

IPDA

On September 1, 2021 shortly before 10:00 pm, police located an intoxicated 37-year-old female laying in the street in the 100 block of Louise Ave.  The female was in no condition to care for herself.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On September 1, 2021 at 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of a female who had passed out in a yard in the 100 block of Victoria Ave.  The 49-year-old female was in no condition to care for herself.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking X2

On September 2, 2021, shortly before 3:00 am, police responded to a report of a male causing a disturbance in a residence.  The 43-year-old male was to abide by conditions, of which he was in breach.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service due to his intoxication level, and will be released when sober to appear in court on November 25, 2021.

 

Breach of Peace

On September 1, 2021, shortly after 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male fighting with other individuals at a business in the 1300 block of 18th street.  The 27-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to prevent his actions from escalating.

On September 2, 2021, at 5:00 am police responded to a report of a disturbance in a residence.  Family members were unable to prevent the actions of an intoxicated 16-year-old female from escalating as she was trying to fight others in the home.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
