Vehicle Theft – One Suspect Arrested

On February 1, 2022, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the 100 block of 19th street at 7:20 pm.  The vehicle was left running, and unattended to warm up.  Police located and stopped the vehicle in the 1600 block of Princess Ave, but the two suspects fled on foot.  Following a short foot pursuit, police arrested the passenger, a 35-year-old male.  He was later released and will appear in court on March 28, 2022 on charges of Possess Property Obtained by Crime and Resist Arrest.  Police are still investigating the theft, as the suspect driver was not located.

 

Domestic Assault

On February 1, 2022, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence shortly after 4:00 pm.  Investigation revealed that the 32-year-old female suspect assaulted the victim, who received minor injuries that did not require medical care.  The suspect was located and arrested a short distance away.  She was later released and will appear in court on March 3, 2022.

 

Fraud Under $5000

On January 31, 2022, police receive a report of a victim’s government cheque, which was stolen and later cashed.  Investigation revealed the suspect who cashed the cheque was a 38-year-old female.  She was located and arrested on February 1, 2022.  She was later released to appear in court on March 3, 2022 on a charge of Fraud Under $5000.

 

Break and Enter to Business

On February 1, 2022, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a business in the 300 block of Durum Drive.  Suspects  forced a door into an apartment building management office overnight and stole keys and cheques.  Anyone with information regarding this B&E is encouraged to contact Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345 or https://www.brandon.ca/police-contact/police-contact.

 

Arrest Warrant

On February 1, 2022, police located and arrested a 38-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.
