Vehicle Theft – Suspect Arrested

On November 30, 2021, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from Alaska Bay shortly before 9:00 am.  The owner had left the vehicle running and unattended when the suspect drove away with it.

Police observed the stolen vehicle, and it was stopped in the 500 block of 8th street at approximately 12:00 pm.  The suspect, a 21-year-old female, was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  She was found to be breaching prior release conditions not to occupy a motor vehicle without the expressed permission of the owner.  She will appear in court today on charges of Possess Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Comply with Release Order X3.

 

Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime

On November 30, 2021, police responded to a report of an individual attempting to sell stolen collectable cards to a business in the 1600 block of Park Ave.  The business employees were aware that the property was stolen and alerted police. 

Police arrested the 25-year-old female.  She was later released to appear in court on January 24, 2022 on charges of Fraud Under $5000 and Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime.

The recovered collectable cards had been stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of 1st street N overnight between November 24-25, 2021.  The value of several of the cards could be estimated at approximately $1000 per card.

 

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

On November 30, 2021 at 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of a suspicious male in the area of the 500 block of Princess Ave E.  Investigation revealed that he had been going through vehicles and properties in the area. 

Police located and arrested the 39-year-old male.  He was found to be in possession of break in tools and stolen property from vehicles in the area.  He was later released to appear in court on January 27, 2022 on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of Break-in Instruments. 

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On December 1, 2021 at approximately 1:30 am, police observed a female pedestrian known to them to have a curfew.  She was also found to be wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Attend Court, Break and Enter and Possess Break-in Instruments.  She was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

 

Arrest Warrants

On November 30, 2021, police located and arrested a 42-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Probation.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On November 30, 2021, police located and arrested a 21-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Mischief to Property and Fail to Attend Court.  She was later released to appear in court on January 13, 2022.

On December 1, 2021, police located and arrested a 40-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to Comply with Recognizance, Fail to Attend Court, Break and Enter and Possess Break-in Instruments
