Q: What are the Hours of Operation for the Eastview Landfill Site?

Q: Where can I drop off any residential household hazardous waste/paint cans?
Residential HHW and paint cans can be disposed of at The Eastview Landfill Site. Please notify the Scale Operator of any HHW that you may have. Please note that the containers must be sealed and can not be leaking. Please keep in mind that any HHW containers you have for disposal will have to be left at the site.
Q: What are the hours of Operation for the Household Hazardous Waste Facility?
Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Closed Sundays and Statutory holidays.
Q: Where can I dispose of old fridges, freezers, water coolers, AC units that still contain Freon?
All Freon Devices can be disposed of at Eastview Landfill Site during normal hours of Operation. Please notify the Scale Operator of any devices you may have. Also, do not leave any food in fridges/freezers. Please note fees vary on the origin of the device. (commercial, residential or out of town)
Q: As a resident of Brandon is there any fees associated with dropping material off at Eastview Landfill Site?
For residents of Brandon, loads of material brought to the Eastview Landfill Site will be charged a fee in accordance with the current City of Brandon Fee Schedule.

Q: Where can I dispose of electronic waste?
Electronic Waste can be disposed of at the Eastview Landfill Site during normal hours of operation. Items include but are not limited to: monitors, computer towers, phones, cell phones, TV’s, Stereos etc.
Q: I have used oil and antifreeze left over from doing my own oil changes. Where can I dispose of it?
Any leftover or used oil and antifreeze can be brought out to the Eco Center at the Eastview Landfill Site for proper disposal. Please speak to the Scale Operator prior to dropping off any material.
Q. Where can I dispose of asbestos or contaminated soil? What are the fees associated with the disposal of those items?
Asbestos and contaminated soil can be brought out to Eastview Landfill for disposal. Prior to disposal of asbestos or contaminated soil please contact the Sanitation Office 204-729-2281 for further information relating to permits, fees and disposal requirements.
Q. Is the refuse from rental properties free of charge?
No, Refuse from the home that you live in will be charged in accordance with the current City of Brandon Fee Schedule.
