The Water Division of the City of Brandon Water Plant is dedicated to providing a safe clean water supply to the residents of Brandon and the surrounding area.

One key to decreasing the possibility of Cryptosporidium in our drinking water is to maintain the water treatment process in top working order. Reliable water filtration has been shown to reduce the likelihood of microbial bacteria in water.

Water Division personnel diligently monitor the water filtration system at the Water Treatment Plant. Filters are monitored continually by a computerized system and are checked manually every hour.

Future improvements and upgrades planned for the water treatment plant will further reduce the possibility of the Cryptosporidium parasite in our water supply by increasing the overall reliability of the water treatment process.
