Public Engagement Program

We would like to invite you to discover and learn about how you can be part of the land use development process affecting your neighbourhood, but most importantly, how you can be part of the effort to build a sustainable Brandon - the city where you live, work and play. For this reason, the Planning & Buildings Department has just launched our new public engagement program to be hosted by the Brandon Design Studio. The Brandon Design Studio is a vehicle for us to host a number of workshops and events throughout the year. For the majority of the workshops and events, the Brandon Design Studio will be hosting the events at the City’s Cultural Resource Centre at 638 Princess Avenue (entrance B), PDF icon View Map (50 KB); depending on the nature of the workshops or events, the workshop or event maybe held somewhere else in the city, please check for locations by clicking on the title of the workshop or event or by contacting our office. Please register for the session(s) that you are interested in as soon as possible in order to reserve a place. Find out how to register below.

Upcoming Events

June 6, 2019 | Development And Flooding Workshop | 5pm to 7pm  PDF Icon Event Flyer (969 KB)

With the realities of extreme flooding along Brandon's Assiniboine River Corridor once thought to be unlikely now part of the community's collective wisdom, the City of Brandon is looking to the public for feedback as it charts a new vision for how building development occurs in Brandon's diked floodplain areas. The updated regulations informed by community input will attempt to find a balance between development with the need to protect people and property from flooding events. Advanced registration is required.  Register Now For Events

June 13, 2019 | Southeast Brandon Neighbourhood Planning Event| 6pm to 8pm  PDF Icon Event Flyer
